Web Development Course: HTML & CSS

 

This course introduces fundamental concepts in web page development. Through practical applications, participants will learn the methods for creating web pages using HTML and CSS. The HTML+CSS course covers all the steps required to create the structure and formatting of a presentation website. The course also addresses new elements specific to HTML5 and CSS3 standards.

Our trainers are experienced web developers working in multinational companies, presenting concepts from a practitioner’s perspective.

At the end of the course, students will create a fully functional presentation website that includes formatted text, links, images, forms, styles, and more. The website will be uploaded to a web server and made accessible via the Internet.

1. Client-Server Model
  • Principles of operation.

  • Introduction to the client-server model.

  • How web servers and browsers work.

 
2. HTML5 Overview
  • The HTML5 standard and updates.

  • Web page structure.

  • HTML formatting tags: paragraphs, lists, tables, hyperlinks, images.

  • Forms and meta tags.

  • Best practices in HTML usage.

  • Practical applications.

 
3. CSS3 (Cascading Style Sheets)
  • Introduction to CSS and the CSS box model.

  • Overview of CSS3 and the separation of structure and presentation.

  • Methods for adding styles: external, internal, inline.

  • CSS properties and their application to HTML elements.

  • Fluid vs. fixed design.

  • Pseudo-selectors (hover, active, focus) and pseudo-elements (first-child, nth-child).

  • Reducing server requests using CSS sprites.

  • Practical applications.

 
4. Responsive Design
  • Principles of responsive design.

  • Using media queries for responsive layouts.

  • Implementing flexible layouts and grids.

  • Practical applications.

 
5. Practical Application
  • Creating a static presentation website.

  • Designing structure and applying best practices.

  • Defining directory structures.

  • Setting up a hosting account and FTP transfer to the server.

 
6. Visitor Analysis Tool: Google Analytics
  • Configuring Google Analytics.

  • Monitoring and interpreting traffic data.

  • Using reports to optimize the website.

 

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR ENROLLMENT
  • Copy of ID/passport/residence permit.

  • Copy of birth certificate (if not in English, German, Italian, or Spanish, it must be translated and legalized in Romanian).

  • Copy of marriage certificate (only if the name has changed).

  • Copy of the highest educational diploma.
