Processing time

Required documents for the file
To start the procedure, the following documents are needed:
- Birth certificate;
- Passport;
- Residence permit issued by the General Inspectorate for Immigration (for foreign citizens);
- Romanian ID card (for Romanian citizens);
- Marriage certificate (if applicable);
- Divorce certificate (if applicable);
- University degree diploma;
- Diploma supplement.
Translations and legalizations
Documents must be translated and notarized only if they are written in languages other than English, French, or Italian, or if these languages appear within the documents.
